Wave Hill Station is a beautiful 5,000 hectare property only 50 minutes drive from Grafton and 2.5 hours from the Gold Coast. Guests are encouraged to help with day to day general activities including mustering cattle when in season. Take a trip to the Clarence River Gorge, either on horseback or in a 4WD, swim in the Clarence River or try your hand at fishing in the creeks and river. Guests may visit old mines in the area to fossick and there are good bushwalks with splendid views across the Queensland landscape.

Activities include: Horseriding and 4WD treks - guided or unsupervised, visit to Clarence River Gorge and Washpool National Park, excellent fishing, tennis court, bushwalking, birdwatching swimming and fossicking and join in with the family with farm activities. Accomodation options: "Wave Hill's" old Queensland style Homestead, set in a rambling tropical cottage surrounded by rolling hills. Relax on the wide verandah and enjoy the pristine,peaceful environment.

The choice is yours - dine inside by the open fire or outside in the garden gazebo. Delicious home cooked meals are prepared with home-grown or local produce, served onine china, silver and tableware. A comfortable guest bedroom decorated with antique furniture is available with a private bathroom.

Dingo Dam" cottage is just for you! This quaint cottage was the original dwelling on Wave Hill Station. It offers late 1800s style living - old iron beds, kero lamps, candles, wash stands, claw foot bath, pot bellystove and timber walls and floors.Running hot water is always available using the "donkey system" where a slow fire burns beneath a water-filled 44-gallon drum. Sleeping arrangements include one Queen size and one double bed (in individual rooms)
