Riverwood Downs is a 750 acre working beef cattle farm in the foothills of the Barrington Mountains World Heritage wilderness just 3 hours drive north of Sydney.
Independent (without transport) and self drive guests activities include: Horse riding (optional), tennis, swimming, canoeing (optional), bushwalking, tractor trail rides, native wildlife night safari and much much more!  When you take a horse ride (additional cost) the ride is through the Riverwood Downs Cattle farm. For non horse riders a farm tour is available (subject to availability). View the plentiful flora and fauna including platypus in the river running through the property. View many Australian bird varieties, guest lounge and indoor games room also available.
Family, special and common interest group activities include:- A planned activities schedule is available on request. Horse riding, tennis, swimming, canoeing, bushwalking, boomerang throwing and whip cracking demonstration, tractor trail rides, evening campfires and camp or bush barbecue and native wildlife night safari. Variety of accommodation available - ensuited (bathrooms) luxury suites and family rooms with private bathrooms and bunkhouse suitable for student groups. Excellent country style food served in large spacious dining room all dietary requirements catered for. Travel to Riverwood Downs on regional air services to Newcastle or rail services to Dungog or self drive (maps and directions available) after completion of reservations with Australian Farm Tourism.
